Montréal, Tuesday October 19, 2021 – Prospector Films is proud to announce that principal photography has begun on YOU CAN LIVE FOREVER by Sarah Watts and Mark Slutsky. Filming will continue in Montreal and the Saguenay area until November 5th. YOU CAN LIVE FOREVER stars Anwen O’Driscoll (Burden of Truth) in the leading role of Jaime, alongside June Laporte, Liane Balaban, Hasani Freeman and Deragh Campbell.

When lesbian teen Jaime is sent to live in a Jehovah’s Witness community in the Saguenay during the early ‘90s, she falls hard for a devout Witness girl and the two embark on an intense affair with consequences that will reshape the rest of their lives.

YOU CAN LIVE FOREVER is a touching, coming-of-age drama that tells the story of teenage love, friendship and discovery. With depth, sensitivity and humour, the film tackles a world rarely explored before on film, the Jehovah’s Witness community.

The first feature co-written and co-directed by Mark Slutsky and Sarah Watts, YOU CAN LIVE FOREVER is produced by Robert Vroom for Prospector Films, with the financial support of SODEC, Telefilm, CMF, and CBC. The film will be distributed by Métropole Films in Québec and Mongrel Media in the rest of Canada and will be released in 2022.
